My Services

As a postpartum doula, I care for mothers and their families in their homes for typically 1 to 3 months following birth. I provide non-medical support, assist with newborn care and sibling adjustment, meal preparation, and household organization. A typical day shift depends on the client’s needs and can vary day to day. See below for some examples of how I can support you.

Rest & Recovery

Getting adequate rest can be challenging in the first few weeks with baby. Sleep is often a priority for clients when I enter their homes. I can take baby in another room of your house for a few hours so you can catch up on some rest and feel restored and ready to care for your baby.

Emotional Support

Life changes drastically when a new baby arrives, and sometimes what mothers really need is someone to actively listen to them while they express their thoughts and feelings during this time of transition. Each day when I arrive, we will have a check in to discuss any questions, concerns or struggles. I am here to help you process your birth story if that feels right to you, and provide a safe space to share what’s on your mind.

Nourishing Meals

After childbirth, mothers experience a huge hormonal and physical shift in their bodies. One of the most powerful ways I can help moms recover is by preparing nourishing meals. I will cook nutrient dense soups, stews, teas and snacks in your home that promote proper healing and aid in lactation.

Sibling Adjustment

The addition of a new baby to the family is a big change for siblings! I love supporting siblings during the fourth trimester just as much as I love supporting moms. I will offer guidance on how to help siblings feel involved and connected to their parents despite the demands of a newborn. I can also give siblings love and attention so you can focus on bonding with your baby.

Infant Feeding Support

Sometimes breastfeeding comes naturally to mothers. Other times it does not. Lactation problems can be very stressful for parents and lead to an unenjoyable postpartum experience. I am trained to support you on your breastfeeding journey and can give you evidence-based resources and referrals if needed.

Household Organization

I do not want to see postpartum mothers at the sink doing dishes or bending over to pick up toys! I want to see mothers resting and recovering during the first few weeks after birth so they can heal properly— both mentally and physically. I provide that second set of hands to help with household duties such as baby laundry, dishes, errands and tidying up so you don’t have to worry about it.

I am here to help.
